How to configure AutoCAD as a tool in GBuilder?

You can configure a new tool by choosing menu Tools | Configure Tools.

• Choose “Configure Tools” from the “Tools” menu
• Click “Add”
• Enter the Title “Open in AutoCAD” in the “Title” Field
• Click near the “Program” field on the “Browse” button
• Navigate to the “Acad.exe” file and click “Open”
• Accept the “Work Dir” or type a new one
• Select the DXF format in the field “save current job as” and check the checkbox “Pass current Job to the program at startup”
• Click “OK” and then “Close”

Make the Job to open in AutoCAD current and choose menu Tools | Open in AutoCAD.

How can I make and use DXX-files in GBuilder, instead of using big DXF files?

A DXX-file (DXF Format Extract File) is a DXF File with only block + attribute information. It is much smaller in filesize as a DXF File and can be easily imported in GBuilder. You can create a DXX-file in AutoCAD by choosing menu File | Export.

• Choose “Export” from the “File” menu in AutoCAD
• Select the file type “DXX Extract (*.dxx)” in the list “Files of type” field
• Enter a destination name for the file in the “File Name” field and click “Save”
• Select the objects to extract and press “Enter” to save the extract file
• Now import the DXX-File in GBuilder by choosing File | Import and select the file type “DXX Files” in the list “Files of type” field

How to define a scale factor for my Sokkia SDR33 in GBuilder?

You can define a scale factor for a Sokkia SDR33 by choosing menu File | Properties.

• Make a Job current in the Job Explorer by clicking on the appropriate tabsheet
• Choose “Properties” from the “File” menu
• Enter the scale factor in the “Scale Factor” field
• Click on “OK”

Send or save the Job to use the scale factor.

How to feed the PC-Card of my Leica 1100 Serie in GBuilder?

You can create a new tool by choosing menu Tools | Configure Tools.

• Choose menu Tools | Configure Tools
• Click “Add”
• Type for Title “Send to my Leica PC Card”
• Leave the “program” field blank
• Enter for “Work Dir” the drive letter of your PC Card (For example “F:\” or “F:\GSI”).
• Select the Leica GSI format in the field “save current job as”
• Click “OK” and then “Close”

Make the Job to put on the Leica PC Card current and choose Tools | Send to my Leica PC Card.

How to send a portion of a Job to my Nikon 500 SERIE in GBuilder?

You can send a portion of a Job to a Nikon 500 SERIE by choosing menu Comms | Send.

• Make a Job current in the Job Explorer by clicking on the appropriate tabsheet
• Select the items to be send in the Job Explorer by using the Shift key.
• Choose “Send” from the “Comms” menu
• Click on the tabsheet “Options” and check the checkbox “Send selected block”.
• Click on “Send now” to send the selected items.

You can define a Job incl. elevations for a Sokkia SDR33 by choosing menu File | Properties.

• Make a Job current in the Job Explorer by clicking on the appropriate tabsheet
• Choose “Properties” from the “File” menu
• Check the checkbox “Incl. Elevations”
• Click on “OK”

Send or save the Job to use the Job incl. elevations.
